Proactiv Prize Me

My team and I developed Proactiv’s Prize Me App for their 2015 BeautyCon booths (LA & NYC) as a solution to the common convention-goer problem: attendees flock for the free swag, but there’s little incentive for them to stick around and connect with the brand. Proactiv was looking for a way to give attendees the free product that they couldn’t wait to get while also bringing some brand/product education to the table (or booth, I should say!). The PrizeMe App required attendees to interact and engage. First, they had to push a button to reveal a prize (i.e. they couldn’t just come up and grab any item). From there, a display card popped up with a relatable tip for how to use what they won (attendees found this very helpful!).

Ideation, development, & launch: 2015

Involvement

  • Helped concept and develop activation

  • Applied product knowledge to create on-screen copy tips

  • Helped run on-site BeautyCon event, interacting with event attendees to encourage game participation, promote positive brand experience, and capture emails

Results

  • Social Impressions

4.8MM+ impressions on social during the events. Considering we had lines of 10+ people at all times through both event days, this was no surprise!

  • Leads Captured

In order to play, users had to provide valid contact information, which Proactiv later used to follow up with special offers. We captured 1,868 leads in two days.

  • Award Winning

The Prize Me App won first place for IAC’s (Internet Advertising Competition’s) Best Interactive Event Application award.
