Occasionally, teams throughout Oliver are invited to help ideate for a specific brand (at Oliver, everyone is assigned one brand versus multiple, so it’s an exciting chance to touch a different industry). Recently, an opportunity popped up to ideate for Coors.

Coors’ strategy team identified that everyone was sharing their tips, tricks, and passion for cold beer on social—an obsession, it seemed. They knew Coors could and should own this, since the cans literally have mountains that turn blue when cold. The goal was to figure out how to make COORS = COLD memorable on social. Additionally, they hoped to make more people aware of and excited about the blue mountain feature.

TL;DR: The brand wanted Coors’ blue mountains to remind beer drinkers that Coors is the coldest beer while these consumers were on social.

Below, you’ll find my ideas for this ask.
